BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying - with optional Placement Year
Located at the heart of the largest property and construction market outside of London, Salford is a great place to study quantity surveying. Our BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying is triple-accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES), which will help you stand out in the competitive job market.
Our quantity surveying degree is taught by an experienced academic team who draw on their strong links with local organisations to ensure you have a stimulating range of external guest lecturers, placements, and career networking opportunities.
You will also have the option to take an industrial placement year between years two and three of your course. These industry placements are an excellent way to enhance your CV and apply what you’ve learned to real-world scenarios.
BSc (Hons) Building Surveying - with optional Placement Year
With our BSc (Hons) Building Surveying degree, you can develop a knowledge base and skill set that can lead to exciting global opportunities across many industries. Triple-accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), you will enter a gateway to professional building surveyor status.
During your degree, you will have the option to take an industrial placement between years two and three. Industry placements are a fantastic way to gain real-world experience and test your skills, as well as network with professionals in the built environment sector.

Our BSc (Hons) Building Surveying with Foundation Year is designed to help you build a strong foundation in construction, surveying and design techniques, and the essential study skills you'll need to progress and succeed on the full degree.
Our building surveying degrees are accredited by Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the Chartered Association of Building Engineers (CABE) and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Salford is at the heart of the largest property and construction market outside of London. Drawing on our strong industry links, you will experience site visits, guest speakers and placements.
