Our student support teams are here to support you and provide advice, guidance and referrals to make sure you’re having the best experience possible.

We have specialist teams who can help with a wide variety of topics including money advice, health and wellbeing, academic support, disability and inclusion, and various specialist support services.

Money Advice and Funds Service

Our Money Advice and Funds Service can help if you are struggling to manage your money. They can offer advice and support if you are in financial hardship and provide guidance on your student finances.

Career Advice and Support

Our Careers and Enterprise team are there to help you make the most of your skills and experience, and help prepare you for the next stage of your career.

Disability Inclusion Service

All University of Salford students benefit from inclusive and accessible teaching. Our Disability Inclusion Service works with you to identify adjustments you need to ensure that you have fair and equal access to your education. The team work with prospective and current students, working with you to identify teaching, learning and assessment adjustments, such as exam arrangements and in-class support.

Student Progression Advisors (SPAs)

If you need more academic support, reach out to the Student Progression Advisors (SPAs) in your school - they can help you find information relating to your studies, submit Personal Mitigating Circumstances and access support services.

Basically, they're your go-to person if you experience any issues that may affect your academic progression

Wellbeing and Counselling

Wellbeing and Counselling are here to help you succeed in your studies and in your life by giving tips for taking care of yourself, teaching you ways of managing your wellbeing and providing information on how to look out for your peers too.

If you are a student, you can access free and confidential counselling through the Student CareFirst phone line - available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Wellbeing Advisers offer phone triage and face-to-face sessions throughout the week, as well as follow-up sessions where appropriate.

There are no services at MediaCity during Trimester 3 and Vacation times. However, you can catch the 50 bus between campuses for free by showing the bus driver your student card.
