University of Salford Strategy 2025-2030

Our new strategy - ‘Innovating to Enrich Lives’ - frames how we will work as an inclusive community to take our ethos into the next five years and beyond. We will achieve this through fostering a collaborative, inclusive and purposeful culture. Enquiry, learning and action will be at the heart of all that we do.

We believe this will lead to outstanding quality and world-changing outcomes that will enable:

  • our students to flourish and contribute to society,
  • our colleagues to be members of an organisation that strives for social justice in how we operate,
  • the development of new knowledge and advanced technology and practice,
  • the University community to be fully embedded in contributing to the broader community of which we are part.

Ultimately, our goal is innovating towards a more sustainable, equitable, just, healthy, creative and prosperous society.

Our purpose

Innovating to Enrich Lives

Building towards social justice to create a more just and equitable society.

We are deeply committed to reaching far beyond our boundaries to be a place that is at the forefront of building social justice for people and communities. We will achieve this through partnership, outreach and collaboration with key stakeholders to advance social justice and break down the barriers to opportunity for all.

We enrich lives by exploring the root cause of health inequalities, supporting marginalised communities to address social exclusion, working with policy makers to co-create equitable opportunities, and ensuring new technologies are used in an ethical and responsible way.
