You will need your student ID card to access the building after 5pm on weekdays and all day at weekends. Library staff may ask to see your ID at any time.

We’re making upgrades! Clifford Whitworth main entrance doors will be replaced between 18–25 July to improve access for the new academic year. Here’s what you need to know during this time:
- Access to the Library will be via the café entrance—the main doors will be temporarily closed.
- Opening hours will change to 08:00-21:00 daily during this period (instead of 24/7 access).
- Student ID cards will still be required during usual controlled access times: after 17:00 on weekdays and all day on weekends.
- Normal access and 24-hour opening will resume on 26 July.

The 50 and 51 buses are free when you show your University of Salford ID card.
The University building is behind Dockyard bar and Prezzo restaurant. Look for the University of Salford sign. The library is on the third floor landing.
