The programme includes Core Training Sessions, Spotlight Training Sessions, Development Network Groups, Academics Talk seminar series and Manuscript Momentum Collective.

Read on to find out more about the elements of this programme.

Elements of this programme include:
Core Training Sessions

Our Core Training Sessions are informative, interactive workshops tailored for all SEE PGR students. These sessions cover essential rules, guidelines, and support for key milestones such as your Learning Agreement, Initial Assessment (IA), Interim Evaluation (IE), and Viva Voce submissions and examinations. Offered multiple times throughout the year, they also include guidance on research integrity and mock viva opportunities to help you prepare with confidence.

Spotlight Training Sessions

Spotlight Sessions are specialised thematic trainings offered once per term or year, focusing on key skills and knowledge areas. Topics include intellectual property rights, the commercial potential of research, and the popular Stats Week, which provides hands-on training in statistical methods, survey design, and more.

SEE PGR Development Network Groups

Join one of our nine vibrant Development Network Groups to gain additional support and connect with fellow researchers. These groups foster collaboration, research development, and networking across a range of disciplines.

Academics Talk Seminar Series

Our Academics Talk series invites speakers from the UK and around the world to share their expertise. These engaging seminars offer a fantastic opportunity for SEE PGR students to expand their horizons, learn from leading academics, and build valuable research networks.

Manuscript Momentum Collective

The Manuscript Momentum Collective is a monthly support group designed for students pursuing a PhD by Published Works. Through regular thematic sessions, we provide targeted guidance and peer support to help you progress confidently throughout your publishing journey.

This programme has been carefully curated by our Deputy PGR Director in Training and Development, Dr Zeljka Krpetic, and will provide valuable SEE-specific support throughout your Postgraduate Research journey.
